H. Upmann make good, solid cigars with a nice range, the No.2’s and 46’s probably their best cigars due to unique and classic qualities. Good tobacco is never enough and it takes a touch of the unknown to create masters, and the 50 may not quite make the cut. It is a good cigar, big and timely, it moves from smooth beginnings to a strong and spicy ending.
The burn was fine and in addition to the smooth easy draw, it made for a nice smoke. I liked the way the cigar held its shape and strength. I am not disappointed but I feel unsure of whether I am smoking a real top notch cigar, or just another runner in the Upmann range.
