Named after Edmundo Dantes, hero of Alexandro Dumas’ famous novel “The Count of Montecristo”, the Edmundo is the first size to be added to Montecristo’s standard range since 1971.
I was completely blown away by the Edmundo, a cigar bought in Havana which I’d stored just only 6 months. It was pure chocolate, coffee and cream heaven. The taste was fantastic and I smoked it so low, the butt was a square shape by the end! The superb cigar didn’t get hot and was not for a moment unpleasant.
Perhaps I was fortunate, what with such a short time in the humidor, but this was up there with the best cigars I’ve ever smoked. The generous ring gauge and the shape of the cigar were appreciated. A fantastic aroma surrounds you and there were no burning problems.
